Description:

This was a method of recording audio by recording audio live, on to the side of the film.

However, this had a flaw. The direction of audio would cause audio degradation, and would make it difficult to hear the actors.

This was still an important invention, as it allowed live audio to be recorded, without having to dub it in afterwards.
