dec 30, 1910 - Chinese Situation
Description:
At this time, China was separated by land lords. Since it was the end of the Chinese Empire, it was vulnerable to any nation that wanted to invade them. There were two totally different political parties, which were the Kuomintang Political Party (KMT), which was nationalist, and the Communist Party of China (CPC), which was communist. Chiang Kai-shek was the KMT leader, and Mao Zedong was the CPC leader. Both had the same idea, which was to unify China under their different ideologies. The third picture shows the areas controlled by the two different political parties. The red areas were controlled by the CPC, and the blue areas were controlled by the KMT.
