Description:
The British attempted to aid the East India Company which was in debt. They did this by removing taxes on tea imported by this company in America. Even though the price of the tea decreased, the merchants were especially angry because they won't be making much money. The colonists actually got mad becuase of this because the felt oppressed. This caused more public demonstrations of resistance like when a groiup of colonists dumped a lot of tea.
