Known as the "shot heard 'round the world," Lexington and Concord are the first battles of the Revolutionary War. It began with 700 British soldiers against 77 angry peasants. The British won easily and continued to Concord to destroy weapons, but they had already been moved and were met with a group of minutemen, who successfully held the British off.
