Description:
Two battles that would be a major turning point for the americans. British general Burgoyne led a large army down from canada hoping to meet 2 other british army's that never came. He was surrounded by american soldiers and after 2 battles he quickly retreated to saratoga where he surrendered. This lead to international support from France who was waiting for a sign of success to enter the war and this support would be key in the battle of yorktown and the surrender of General Cornwallis.
