jun 5, 1767 - Townshend acts

Description:

The British applied their dominance, which had previously been established within the Declaratory Act. They enforced a large tax on many luxury products, such as paint. The colonists responded with boycotts to these products and petitions which were sent to Parliament, as they saw this as taxation without representation, and a violation of their basic liberties.
