sep 1, 1764 - Currency Act
Description:
The Currency Act was created in order to protect British merchants, who were often paid in colonial currency, which was highly inflated. The colonists’ hatred for the British was increasingly fueled, although the system did not have important effects. Rather, most of the effects of the Currency Act simply caused minor liabilities to the colonists.
