oct 7, 1765 - Stamp Act Congress
Description:
Taking place between October 7 to 25, this congress attempted to address the problem of the stamp act. It was discussed that Parliament may not tax without representation, though they don't mind them making laws. At first the congress didn't go too well, but in the end almost every delegate voted to pass the Stamp Act Resolves and started the boycott against the stamps. This event marked the first time delegates from multiple colonies discussed with each other and saw they had things in common.
