Description:

The Second Continental Congress was a convention of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies that started meeting in the spring of 1775 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this congress it was agreed that a continental army would be created under the command of George Washington. The congress also authorized printing money. The result and effect on the war was that it allowed Americans to be prepared for combat.
