may 10, 1773 - Tea Act (1773)

Description:

British wanted to save the British East India Company which was dying due to the repeal of the Townshend Act. The price for tea was lowered, but colonists still protested. Events such as the Boston Tea Party ensued as the Tea Act acted as the final straw for many of the colonists. These acts were still viewed as taxation without representation and resulted in rebellions from America.
