mar 24, 1765 - Quartering Act (1765)

Description:

The British wanted to protect the colonists from any possible skirmishes so it’s only right for the colonists to provide the soldiers with housing and food. However, the colonists believed that since there were no more foreigners, the soldiers shouldn’t even be in America. Because they were there, the colonists thought that perhaps the soldiers were there to control them.
