23h 24min, may 9, 1943 y - Terrorist Attack in Turkey
Description:
A terrorist attack in Ankara has shocked the Greco-Turkish people this morning, a bomb exploding in a military warehouse and leaving 6 dead, 12 injured. The Greco-Turkish State Security Committee has launched a joint investigation with the Soviet KGB to find out who the perpetrators are, Eastern Bloc officials suspecting sabotage from an enemy country. In what appears to be a related event, a foreign spy was caught in the Greco-Turkish capital of Istanbul, the criminal being sent to Siberia to be interrogated by the Russians. The terrorist's country of origin is unknown.
The Greco-Turkish State Security Committee has asked the member states of NATO and the Axis Powers to assist in the investigation, if they can, as Greco-Turkish officials have early concerns about the potential of a Second World War.
Greco-Turkish Prime Minister Markos Vafeiadis has issued a public statement on the terrorist attack in Ankara and foreign operative found in Istanbul, saying that the enemy nation or terrorist group responsible for the attacks on Greece-Turkey's national security will "not get away with their crimes".
