Description:
The British repealed this act due to the decline of imports caused by the non-importation movements of the angry colonists. The British then declared that the parliament to tax colonies (externally/internally). The colonists took this act as a form of taxation without representation (thought that the British made a new law without their consent) and ignored the Declaratory Act yet celebrated the repeal of the Stamp Act.
