Description:

- Raqqadah is an Aghlabid palace city surrounded by fortified walls.

- The city fell to the Fatimids after the Aghlabid amir, Abu Mudar Ziyadat Allah III fled the city and died.

- Abu Abd Allah immediately focused on establishing administration for the new state.
