jan 1, 901 - Abu Abd Allah al-Shi'i operated among the Kutama
Description:
- Abd Allah or al-Mahdi journeyed to North Africa until he finally remained in hiding in Sijilmasa.
- Abu Abd Allah was a da'i who was given the mission of gaining support of the Kutama Berber tribe who controlled Kabylia, a mountainous region in Algeria.
- It is believed that the Fatimids aimed this area due to its inaccessibility and for its great distance from Qayrawan, the city of the Aghlabids.
