jan 1, 330 BC - Aristotle Disagrees with Atomic Theory
Description:
Aristotle, who lived from 384 BC to 322 BC, disagreed with the Democritus' atomic theory. He taught his students that everything on Earth was made of four elements: fire, earth, water, and air. Aristotle believed that no matter how many times you cut a form of matter in half, you would always have a smaller piece of that matter. Most people believed him, so Democritus' theory went overlooked for about 2000 years.
