Description:
After the "Black Hawk War" the Sauk tribe was forced to give up land on the west side of the Mississippi River to the United States. A 50-mile wide strip of land from the Neutral Ground to the Missouri border was given up. This land became part of the Iowa territory.Added to timeline:
