jun 15, 1767 - The Townshend Acts

Description:

Charles Townshend believed that it was even more important to retain soldiers in the colonies because of the colonists' bad behavior. He wanted to make them pay for the soldiers and he did just that. These acts placed taxes on certain British goods such as glass, paint, paper, and tea.
