Description:
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude"
The 15th amendment was ratified on March 30th, 1870. It gave men of any color, specifically African-American men the right to vote. This did not include everyone African-American women though. Women were not given the right to vote until 1920, when the 19th amendment was ratified.
