jan 1, 1937 - The New Deal
Description:
Franklin D. Roosevelt initiated several federal programs, public work projects and financial reforms in order to recover from the great depression.
The New Deal not only helped those who were affected by the great depression recover, but also established programs and projects that helped the federal government accomplish more things. Projects like the construction of highways, dams and government buildings were completed as a part of the New Deal, and fiscal reforms prevented another stock market crash like that from occurring.
