13h 12min, jan 1, 1995 y - United States vs. Lopez
Description:
In 1990, Congress used their power to regulate commerce to pass the Gun-Free School Zones Act. However, in 1995, United States vs. Lopez ruled that the Act was unconstitutional because guns did not pertain to the regulation of commerce.
This limited the Federal Government's power by keeping Congress from abusing the powers of regulating interstate commerce given by the Gibbons vs. Ogden court case.
