11h 21min, may 2, 1943 y - Turkey Blockades Romania
Description:
The Turkish Navy has set up a blockade on Romania's coast in the Black Sea, the Turkish People's Army wary of Romania's vocal disdain for Communism and anticipating a potential Romanian attack on the Soviet Union, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, or the Turkish Soviet Socialist Republic. Telegrams have been sent from Istanbul to Bucharest in attempts to diffuse the situation so that the tension in Europe doesn't get any worse.
General Bayramoğlu, commander of the Turkish People's Army, refused to comment on the situation.
