mar 1, 1774 - Intolerable Acts

Description:

The intolerable Acts passed from March to September 1774 were Britain's attempt to stop rebellion in the colonies and keep colonies from further coming together. The Intolerable Acts closed the Boston harbor until all the tea dumped in the Boston Tea Party scandal was paid for, it ended the Massachusetts Constitution and basically created martial law in Massachusetts, and it required colonist to house British troops in their homes. While it was Britain's goal to stop rebellion these acts only made the colonist consider Britian more of a tyrant and made them further resist.
