Before Gutenberg, in order to print something, people had to cut letters into wood, dip it in ink and press it onto the page. Gutenberg recreated this with metal in order to be able to move the blocks and print multiple things at a time. He made the very first printed book, a reproduction of the bible.Added to timeline:
