Description:

- between Britain (Attlee), the US (Truman) and the Soviet Union (Stalin)
- decision reached to deliver a final ultimatum to Japan even though the Soviet Union was yet to join the War in the Pacific
- Germany to be demilitarised, democratised, denazified and occupied in four zones
- Berlin itself to be divided into four smaller zones
- war criminals would be tried and sentenced
- USSR would be allowed to demand reparations from its part of Germany in addition to 10% of West Germany's industry
- Truman attempted to use the American's successful detonation of an atomic bomb to encourage Stalin to reduce his demands for negotiations (didn't work)
