may 31, 1358 - Jaquerie Uprising
Description:
During the Hundred Years' War, French peasants were taxed heavily to fund the war effort, so they revolted. In addition to taxation, they complained about battlefield losses and the English raids on rural areas. The rebels targeted castles, killed livestock, and killed nobles, but were supressed with no real change coming of it.
