Description:
A widespread series of uprisings throughout England and especially around London. Laborers were angry that their wages had been capped at pre-plague levels. A group of rebels entered London, killing many royal officials and destroying government property. Eventually an army of 4,000 troops and militia was used to put down the rebels, with over 1,500 rebels being killed by the end of the revolt.
