Description:

Colonist upset by the "taxation without representation" caused or led up to the Boston Massacre, where five colonist were killed. Eventually Parliament repealed their taxes, except for the Tea Act due to the amount of money they were making off it. However, the colonist were not content with this and started boycotting British made tea, causing the British East Indian Company to face bankruptcy. Once the British ships carrying tea arrived the colonist refused to pay for it or unload it. Governor Hutchison refused to allow the ships to return to Britain with its tea, but he could not persuade colonist to buy it. That night a group of men (many thought to be Sons of Liberty) dressed up as Indians and threw 342 chests of tea off the boat and into the water. However these acts were noticed by the king and
