November 2, 1815, the creator of boolean algebra, George Boole, was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. Boole was an englishman who received his first lessons in mathematics by his father inside the comfort of his own home. Besides his father's teachings, George was self taught in mathematics. Mr. Boole was a great thinker who believed that logic worked hand and hand with mathematics rather than philosophy, publishing a few works on this idea. This idea aided him in creating boolean algebra as well. He died on december 8,1864 in Ballintemple, County Cork, Ireland.
