Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, born June 1, 1646 in Leipzig, Germany, was a german mathematician, politician, and the creator of integral calculus. As a child he grew up through the thirty years war, and attended school at Nicolai school but was mostly educated by his father. As an adult Gottfried created the Leibniz, a calculating machine, similar to the pascaline, yet more advanced. Sadly, in Hanover, Germany 1716, Leibniz died at age 70 on November 14.
