Weaver; got 1.02 mill pop votes, 22 electoral votes; One of few third parties in US history to break into electoral column, fell short of electoral majority; Industrial laborers in E didn’t rally up to populists, electoral votes only came from 6 mid-W states, 4 of them were in populist basket (Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada);
Cleveland wins vote; w/ Populists divided and Republicans discredited, Grover Cleveland took office
