The witches in Miss Robichaux's Academy kill the Axeman.
The Axeman had previously sent a letter to the newspaper stating that anyone not playing Jazz music in their house would be murdered, for he dearly loved Jazz. Miss Robichaux's Academy played Opera on a phonograph, luring the Axeman upstairs, where they stabbed him repeatedly, trapping his soul in the house.
Years later, when Fionna Goode arrived at Miss Robichaux's Academy, he watched her as a Father, knocking over a bookshelf, hitting an older witch that had just been trying to force Fionna to pour her milk on her own head. When Fionna refused, the witch advanced on her, knocking her backwards in her chair. The witch began to walk away when the bookshelf toppled over on top of her.
