jan 2, 1965 - Leonard Kleinrock, another MIT scientist creates packet switching, which is a new way for computers to send information by dividing the information so that each packet takes a different route, further bolstering the security of the ARPAnet which without packet switching would've been as susceptible to threats as telephone lines.
