Killing three quarters of all earth species, though the shallow seas were most affected, the Late Devonian Mass extinction gave its worst hammering to the reefs. Most of the seas became devoid of oxygen, killing everything except bacteria. asteroid impacts, new plants messing up the soil, and climate change are all blamed for the extinctions that took place.
