nov 4, 1980 - Election of Ronald Reagan

Description:

With the election of Ronald Reagan, powers started to go back to the states. Reagan believed that, “Government is not the solution to your problem, Government is the problem." He introduced many things including New Federalism and block grants and he ultimately led the power to lean more towards the states. This was an attempt to try and even out the power between federal and states, with him favoring more towards the states. This had a serious impact because now the states were being allowed more power.
