Description:
Following the 1851 Queen Charlotte's Gold Rush in the Queen Charlotte Archipelago, a new colony was established, with the Governor of Vancouver Island appointed as its Administrator.
After over ten years of existence, the colony would be transferred to the Colony of Vancouver Island in July 1863.
