2002 was a very exciting and an interesting year for korea. In 2002 the world cup, Korea achieved the best result they ever did throughout the whole world cup. It was a very big hit in the country, everyone knew about it and everyone watched it. It was also a Korea / Japan world cup which made it more significant. The funny thing here is that Korea and Japan had a tiny conflict while deciding which countries name should go first, after the negotiation between Korea and Japan they decided to put Korea first. Red devil was another huge thing in 2002. During the world cup, everyone worn red t-shirts with a devil on it. It symbolised Korea. Becoming the 4th team throughout 34 teams isn’t easy. The players tried their best and made it to the semi finals. Almost everyone at that time was watching the game. There were many legendary and famous players but most importantly there were a lot of supporters. They had 7 games in total, 4 wins 1 tie and 2 lose. They faced one of the strongest team, Turkey and sadly lost. Year 2002 was also an important and a unforgettable years.
