dec 17, 1903 - Airplane On December 17, 1903, by Wilbur and Orville Wright The Wright brothers created the first airplane. Although it could only go about 10-15 feet in the air it was a great starting point for a new form of transportation. It allowed people to travel long distances without an automobile.
