Description:

The United Nations decided that Palestine, at the time a British Mandate, was to be divided into Arab and Jewish zones, much to the protest of both Palestinian Arabs and neighboring Arab states. These divisions would soon spark into a full-blown war once the British had left, and Arab troops from the surrounding lands would invade with the intention of the utter destruction of Israel.
