Lawrence Schiffman (2010: 86 and passim; see other bibliography) dates the D documents to ca. 120 BCE, "soon after the separation of the [Zadokite (Sadducean)] sectarians, both spiritually and physically, from the Jerusalem establishment [led by Pharisaic priests]."
