Description:

Pasteur boiled broth in an S-shaped flask.
When the flask was upright the shape
allowed air in, but bacteria would get
caught in the bend. No growth was
witnessed when the vial was upright.
When the flask was tilted, and bacteria
allowed in, it was found that mould would
grow in the broth. Louis concluded that abiogenesis was not real.
