nov 6, 2010 - Curiosity launched
Description:
On November 6th, 2010, NASA launched Curiosity, a rover designed to explore and asses the climate and environmental conditions on Mars in order to determine if it is suitable for human life. Curiosity touched down on Mars on August 6th, 2012 and as of September 8th, 2018, it is still in operation. The rover is capable of directly communicating with Earth in order to send data about the discoveries it has made. NASA is using the basic design of Curiosity for the planned launch of another Mars rover in 2020.
