nov 1, 1945 - First electronic computer
Description:
During World War II, the University of Pennsylvania created the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) . Funded by the government, the ENIAC was built to compute values for artillery and hydrogen bombs.
I chose this because it justified the fact that computers could be used for good and paved the way for much more intelligence to come from these machines. Computers have been reinvented many times since the ENIAC, and were all inspired by their own previous generations, and have improved how we live our lives.
