The ADAT was announce at the NAMM convention in January 1991, the first recorders shipped over a year later in February of 1992. More audio tracks could be recorded by synchronizing upto 16 ADAT machines together for a total of 128 tracks. The ADAT had to master controllers the BRC (Big Remote Control) and the LRC (Little Remote Control).Added to timeline:
