Description:

Bismarck forced the issue by proposing that the Bundestag at Frankfurt should be dissolved and the German Bund abolished. Proposed election of special German assembly to draft a new constitution excluding Austria and all AU lands.

AU demanded mobilization of federal GE forces against Prussia. Supported by 9 out of 15 states. War began June 14 and lasted 3 weeks.

August - Treaty of Prague w/ AU. Bis had all he wanted: the power to expel AU from German affairs.
