The first known technique of printmaking is known as Woodblock printing. The earliest source of woodblock printing has been dated back to 200ad in China. Woodblock prints are created by carving into wooden panels and covering the panel in ink. A cloth will then be pressed onto the panel, moving the image onto the cloth.
