feb 3, 1913 - 16th Amendment was adopted
Description:
The 16th Amendment says that Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. This give the federal government more power because the states couldn't lay their own individual taxes on incomes. Everything is the same with the federal so it give them more power.
