Description:

This was first discovered in 1843 and is basically when two cylinders are rotating in opposite directions, one of which is called the supporting cylinder and the other which contains the printing press. This process is continuous and automatic, creating large numbers of copies reasonably quickly. Quality control is kept by photoelectric cells which selectively pick up guide marks in each colour.
