jan 11, 1904 - Offset Lithograpy
Description:
This was accidentally discovered in 1904 by Ira .W. Rubel who soon created a machine in order to exploit this discovery as soon as possible. Offset printing is when the inked image on a printing plate is printed on a rubber cylinder and then printed (offset) onto some paper. This method adds flexibility, allowing printing on multiple types of material, such as wood, paper, rough paper and cloth. In this method, the thing you want to print is neither raised above nor below the paper and is instead flush with the surface you wish to print on.
