was introduced
Description:
The first nickle in a slot machine, or jukebox, was invented by Louis Glass and William S. Arnold. They used a phonograph and attached listening tubes for personal listening. The two inventors as well patented the coin slot and took that idea and put it into a "Edison Class M Electric Phonograph" and in the six months of its service it made $1,000.
